#Khiva to #Bukhara
Transition day. We go from Khiva to Bukhara, following the Silk Road, without any other historic-cultural stop this time. Nothing worth mentioning along the way (luckily), just the same old Uzbek roads hitting Jelly Belly every now and then.
We arrive in Bukhara around 3pm, where it is hot, really lot. We head straight to the AABB, the gigantic fortress that is the symbol of the city. Here we meet Sandro, (yet another) Italian guy, with which we bribe the security guards to sneak into a part of the fortress that is forbidden to the public. From there, apparently, there’s a nice view on the city center. Which we would have shot if we had a SD Card in our camera.
After a short visit to the main buildings of the city (where we met a very active and bright old french couple, which has been in Mongolia 10 years ago – God knows how was Mongolia 10 years ago, especially the roads. Instead, we will know in a bunch of days), we rest with a beer contemplating the sunset over the nice view of Bukhara mosque and madrasa.
