#Isfahan to #Shiraz
We leave Isfahan behind us, direction Shiraz. You can’t avoid stopping to wonder in front of Persepolis’ ruins on the way from Isfahan to Shiraz, as well as you can’t avoid stopping for a Kebab. Such move will prevent you from dying under the 2:30PM horribly hot sun, while you look around the wonderful archaeological site. If you wonder why we have chosen that time, it’s to find less people around while watching the ruins. If you manage to survive, of course.
After some hours under the sun, with only our camera and a bottle of water (oooh yeah, you can’t bring your backpack with you), it comes the hardest part: is climbing uphill to the tomb of Artaxerxes II. Now, one of the best things you actually get from journeys like this is friends. The reward for having climbed the meeting with Zoe and Vittorio, two lovely guys from Milan. We start chatting, and we end up driving back to Shiraz together aboard Jelly Belly and having a pleasant dinner, mostly aubergine based.
